![]() Hi friends, 2024 has been quite the year this end, and it’s not over yet: Before the next round kicks off I thought I’d drop you a line firstly to say a massive THANK YOU for all your support and encouragement as I art my way around the world, and secondly to let you know what I have coming up- it’s always great to see a friendly face when I’m out and about, so if one of these is near you, then I hope you can come and say hi. First up I’ll be at Chelsea Old Town Hall with Handmade Britain from the 6th- 9th November- that’s next week. I’m showing a selection of my ceramic works including brand new plates and beakers. Tickets available online from £8.It’s a mixed fair featuring selected artists who are making a splash, and that includes Sophie too, who I worked with on the Great Pottery Throwdown. One short week later (early nights essential in between) I’ll be at Art in Clay in Farnham on the 16th and 17th of November. This is a brilliant annual celebration of ceramic art, organised by Rich and Anna Miller. I’m looking forward to catching up with Rich who is of course one of the judges on the Throw Down, along with Ed, Dan, Sophie and Dave from this year’s series, and previous ones too, including winner Lois from last year. Again, if you’d like a discount code for tickets let me know and I’ll send them when I get them, or you can get them online too for £5. ![]() Hot on the heels of Farnham comes the new show at the very exciting gallery County Hall Pottery. They will be showcasing legacy tableware by selected ceramic artists, and I’m delighted my new series of work will be among them. I’ll be there at the opening on the evening of the 18th November, which is free and all are welcome. There is a meet-the-artists event on the 21st too, which you need to sign up for if you’d like to come. This show runs right through to 5th January 2025 so if you put one of the unique dinner services or peices thereof on your christmas list and Santa doesn’t deliver, you’ll still have time to treat yourself in the new year! After all those shows, a gallon of mulled wine and plenty of restorative swims in the sea, I’ll be hosting some brand-new workshops at Brightons brand-new Winter Fayre, which will feature a rather special makers yurt! This yurt will be where you can find me on the 8th and the 13th of December, and I’ll take you through how to make your own mug, embossed with your own treasures, and decorated with the colourful slip you’ve seen on my own work. The workshop includes getting these fired ready for you to collect in plenty of time for Christmas so let’s all pray to the kiln gods for kindness. You can see all the workshops they are hosting and book tickets here. They have a great program planned. Any questions give me a shout. I should probably wait until AFTER the shows to tell you about the new shop I have made especially for those of you who prefer your art to come to you, but here is your sneak peak before I announce it to the world. I’ve called it the Long View Studio, named after the medicinal view of the South Downs I have from my studio, and I’m looking forward to growing the catalogue, to include featured guest artists in the months to come. ….and if you’re still here after all that, then congratulations, you get the bonus part where I say Don’t Worry if you think you’ll never remember all that. I have a brain like a sieve too, which is why I use the interweb to help me: News, thoughts, and daft videos from my studio that make me chuckle can be found on the media channel of your choice below, so I hope that helps. very bests c x Copyright (C) 2024 Cadi Froehlich.
